Life Care Oxygen Regulator: Safe and Precise Control for Your Oxygen Therapy
The Life Care Oxygen Regulator is a critical medical device designed to safely control and regulate the high-pressure oxygen from a cylinder to a safe, manageable, and therapeutic flow for the patient. Engineered for accuracy, durability, and user safety, it is an indispensable tool for home-based oxygen therapy, ambulances, hospitals, and clinical settings, ensuring you receive the exact oxygen dosage as prescribed.
Key Features & Benefits:
Precise Flow Control: Features an easy-to-read flow meter (typically 1-15 LPM) for accurate adjustment, ensuring you receive the exact liters-per-minute prescribed by your healthcare provider.
Dual Gauge System: Includes a Contents Gauge (shows the remaining pressure in the cylinder) and a Flow Meter (shows the output rate), giving you complete control and awareness of your oxygen supply.
Robust & Safe Construction: Made from high-quality, medical-grade brass with a chrome finish, it is built to withstand high pressure, resist corrosion, and ensure long-term, leak-free reliability.
Smooth Adjustment Knob: The large, knurled control knob is easy to grip and turn, allowing for precise flow adjustments even for users with limited hand dexterity.
Universal Compatibility: Equipped with a standard CGA 870 (or equivalent) pin-index yoke for a secure and safe connection to most medical oxygen cylinders.
Convenient Outlet Port: Features a standard DISS (Diameter Index Safety System) or barbed outlet for secure and easy connection to oxygen tubing, humidifier bottles, or other oxygen delivery devices.
Tamper-Resistant Design: Helps prevent accidental or unauthorized changes to the flow setting, promoting patient safety and adherence to the prescribed therapy.
Reliable Performance: Engineered for consistent and dependable performance, providing peace of mind for users and caregivers who depend on a stable and accurate oxygen supply.
How to Use:
Ensure the oxygen cylinder is securely positioned in a stand or cart. "Crack" the cylinder valve by opening it slightly for a second to clear any dust.
Inspect the regulator's washer and connect the regulator to the cylinder valve, ensuring a tight and secure fit.
Slowly open the cylinder valve fully (clockwise) to pressurize the system. The contents gauge will now show the cylinder's pressure level.
Turn the flow control knob counterclockwise to the 'OFF' (zero) position. Connect your oxygen tubing (and humidifier, if used) to the regulator's outlet port.
Turn the flow control knob clockwise until the ball or float in the flow meter rises to the exact flow rate (LPM) prescribed by your doctor.
Apply your nasal cannula or oxygen mask and breathe normally.
After your session, turn the flow control knob back to 'OFF' and tightly close the main cylinder valve to conserve oxygen.
